I’ve Been Watching A Lot of Netflix Lately

This is just another quick post about what I’ve been watching lately. I’ve been trucking right through a bunch of stuff on Netflix. I caught up on two series and started some others. So here’s a quick list up my recent Netflix history:

I finally finished the last few episodes I had of Netflix’s Daredevil series. I absolutely loved this version of Daredevil (much better than the early 2000s Ben Affleck movie). It was very brutal, which is quite different from the more lighthearted MCU films. There were so many cringe worthy and uncomfortable moments of violence. I think the most intense was a scene where a guy gets his head bashed in by a car door, I think I yelled ‘oh shit’ a few times during it while freaking out (this coming from a horror fan, go figure). I would very much recommend this series and I’m really excited for season 2.

How I Met Your Mother

This show has been sitting unfinished for some time. I’m surprised I put it down as many times as I did because it’s such a watchable show, I’d watch quite a few episodes in a day each time I picked it up. Easily one of my favorite TV shows, I was pretty disappointed to see it end. I wasn’t expecting the ending to be as sad and heavy as it was, especially coming from such a hilarious show. You just feel like one of the gang while watching it. If you have somehow never checked this series out, definitely do so.

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp

I totally binged all 8 episodes last Friday when it was released. I was so excited for this series, I loved the movie. It’s funny because the only reason I watched the movie was because I knew Netflix was doing a prequel for it and I wanted to know what Wet Hot American Summer was. I’m so glad I checked it out, even if I was kind of dumbfounded at what I had just watched. Definitely not a movie for everyone, but if you enjoyed it then you’ll love First Day of Camp. I’m still laughing about how the can of mixed vegetables came to be. Also seeing Christopher Meloni outside of SVU in a comedy is absolutely amazing (omg that hair).

Bojack Horseman

I’ve been meaning to check this show out since it was first released but just hadn’t gotten around to it. I think Will Arnett is hilarious so I figured I’d like this show. One of my friends said it was good and told me to check it out. I’ve only watched the first two episodes, but so far I like it. Season 2 was recently released so I’m kinda glad I waited, since now I have more to watch. It’s too early for me to give a recommendation on it so I’ll follow-up with this once I finish it.

Well that’s it for now. It doesn’t seem like much but I had a season and a half left of HIMYM when I picked it back up and a few hours of Daredevil so it definitely all added up to a lot time spent watching Netflix. This still doesn’t even make a dent in my backlog but hey it’s progress lol. I’ve got nothing left to say at the moment so I think I’ll go watch some more Bojack Horseman. See ya next time!
