Back to the Future Trilogy 30th Anniversary Theatrical Re-release (October 21, 2015)

I’m about to see some serious shit!

Written between Back to the Future Part II and Back to the Future Part III:

So I just sat through the first two BTTF movies and it was amazing seeing them on the big screen! Sidenote: theaters must make a killing on concessions during marathons like this, I’ve watched a lot of people leave between movies and come back with more. I can only imagine how it will be during the Star Wars event (sadly my theater isn’t getting that one). I’m a little tired but I’m ready for Part III, which should be starting soon. I’m excited to see what they play before this one, the stuff between 1 and 2 was hilarious. There was a hover board commercial and an amazing trailer for Jaws 19. I hope they are included as bonus features in my collector’s set, which arrived today. I haven’t gotten a chance to really go through it yet. I can’t think of anything else to say right now, I just needed something to do between movies. It’s not very easy typing this on my phone either. The last movie is about to start so I’ll update this post later. See ya soon!

Update:

That was so much fun, even though my friends weren’t able to make it. Back to the Future Part III was just as awesome on the big screen as the other two films. Part III is my second favorite of the trilogy (my order is I > III > II). They all looked really good up on the big screen for 30-year-old movies. They are some of the best time travel movies ever made and I’m overjoyed that I got to see them in this format (now if they’d put Ghostbusters back in theaters…). There are way too many great moments from this trilogy, like Crispin Glover’s performance as George McFly, Doc and Marty swapping catchphrases in Part III, all the uses of shit, etc. The list just goes on. I don’t really know what to say about these films that hasn’t already been said somewhere, they’re just classics. If you didn’t get to attend a re-release screening, you really missed out on a memorable experience. I hope you all had a wonderful Back to the Future Day, I know I did. Look out for my review of the collector’s Blu-ray set sometime soon and also my Halloween week posts. That’s all for now, see you in the future!
