State of the blog

Yea, this thing is pretty much dead. It was a fun little personal experiment and who knows, maybe I’ll continue some day. Feel free to still read whatever random stuff is here though. Thanks to those who actually read anything I posted.

I Completely Forgot About My Loot Crate!

I guess I have something cool to talk about today after all. I forgot that I got the time themed Loot Crate for this month and it has some awesome Back to the Future collectibles in it! I’ve only gotten four crates I think, but this is easily my favorite one that I’ve received. I woke up to a delivery conformation on my phone and immediately headed outside to claim my loot. So let’s dive into this month’s box and see what we’ve got!

First up is this month’s shirt. This is the Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure item and it has the great message of Be Excellent to Each Other.

Sadly I’m Not Receiving My Back to the Future 30th Anniversary Set Today

So thanks to Amazon saying my card was declined (because they used old info instead of the new card info I updated the order with *angrily shakes fist*), I won’t be receiving my order until Thursday. I was hoping to post a review of the set today but here I am venting about Amazon screwing up my order instead *sigh*. I updated the payment on the order like a month ago and deleted the old card but they used it anyway! Whatever, at least I’m still getting it and it wasn’t just outright cancelled. So I’ll be posting about that later in the week. In other news, I will be seeing the re-release of the BTTF trilogy on Wednesday which is going to be amazing. A post about my experience may not be up until the weekend because I have to work on Thursday and I’ll probably be too tired to write anything up Wednesday night. That’s all I’ve got for this week. Next week, I’ll be posting some fun stuff for Halloween. I wanted to have something up each week this month but time just didn’t allow for it so I’ll cram a few fun things in next week (at least one Top X list and one or two horror reviews). I think that’s all for now, so see ya next time!

Great Scott! I’m Back and It’s October!

Well hello there! I have been away for some time, but rest assured I am back. There really isn’t some great excuse as to why I haven’t been posting on here. I just got overwhelmed by laziness (that and I’ve been hardcore playing MGSV: The Phantom Pain). So it’s October and since I’m a big horror fan I guess that means I should talk about horror movies, what with Halloween and all. But that’s not all! I will also be writing about Back to the Future! I have the super amazing 30th anniversary Blu-ray set pre-ordered and I decided to jump back into LootCrate for a month because the theme is time and it will include something related to BTTF. I’m also planning to see the re-release in theaters on October 21 (hopefully Regal’s site didn’t lie to me that our theater will be showing it). So as you can see, I’m planning to jump right back into this thing. I’m already writing and preparing some upcoming posts in hopes of staving off my laziness by staying busy. That’s all I’ve got to say for now, so wish me luck on actually keeping up with this blog! See ya next time and Happy October everyone!

What I’ve Been Up to

So I haven’t really been posting much on here lately. I’ve been pretty busy, I haven’t given up on my blog or anything like that. A chunk of my time has been taken up by an online class I’m taking about being a veterinary assistant, there’s only a couple of weeks left of it. This week I’m on vacation from work so I’ll have some time to catch up on posts. Also, both yesterday and today, I’ve been at a local comic convention! I don’t really get the chance to go to the bigger cons, so I’m really glad that there’s one I can go to. This year’s celebrity guests are Lloyd Kaufman from Troma Entertainment, Verne Troyer, David Yost and Walter E. Jones (original Power Rangers OMG!). So it’s been a pretty exciting weekend (not so much for my wallet though)! I got pictures with both of the Power Rangers and Verne Troyer (posted on my Twitter). The panel with David Yost and Walter Jones was really fun, they had some cool stories. I bought a lot of cool prints that I got signed by the artists (so much art, so little wall space). I also got the movie Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead and had it signed by Lloyd Kaufman (such a cool guy).Read More »

I Decided to Make a Twitter….’Cuz Why Not

I’m not that experienced with Twitter, until now I’ve mainly used it as a chaotic and confusing news feed for a bunch of things. But I figured I’d make one to go with this blog for the hell of it. There have been a couple of times I’ve thought of something to put on here but wasn’t at home and trying to write a post on my phone sucked. So this way I can share random bits of movie news and other stupid thoughts I have wherever I am! So if you feel so inclined, you can follow me ! That’s all for now but I should have a post tomorrow with my thoughts on a classic movie that I happened to discover is on Netflix.

Hmm I wonder what movie that could be….

Hello to Anyone Reading This!

I will begin by saying I have never blogged before and have no real experience doing anything like this. This means that I’m not entirely sure what it is I’m about to start. I spend a lot of time watching TV, movies, Netflix, online reviews, and whatever else I happen to come across. I’ve sort of been inspired by the online reviewers and bloggers that I frequently watch/read and I thought it might be fun to give it a shot myself.  I’m not doing this with any real intention in mind.Read More »
